Some believe it is nearly sacreligious to put the photo of a
dying baby in public.  I differ.  If this changes some hearts
to see how evil are the hearts of Arafat and his PLO, it is
worth it.  Somehow I sense the family will agree with me!

The world calls Israel 'the agressor'.  NOT SO!!
The militant arabs of the PLO do NOT want peace,
they want Israel, with all Jews out.  

During the big Arab Summit at the end of March, 2001
they shot this baby to create WAR in Israel.

JERUSALEM, March 30, 2001
The family of the 10-month-old baby girl shot dead by a
Palestinian sniper in the West Bank city of Hebron will
go ahead with the funeral of the infant

The Pass family had initially refused to bury the infant,
demanding as a precondition that the Israeli army occupy
the Arab district overlooking the Jewish quarter which was
said to be the source of the fatal shot to save Jewish lives.

Chief rabbi Israel Meir Lau urged the family
not to delay the burial.

In accordance with the strict Jewish tradition of Halacha,
a dead person must be buried immediately, and I urge the
family of small Shalevet Pass to respect this rite,
said Lau, who represents Ashkenazi (western) Jews in Israel.

Israeli anger has flamed over Monday's killing of the baby
girl, the youngest victim so far of the Palestinian intifada,
or uprising. That has prompted calls for Ariel Sharon to take
tougher action against the Palestinians.

Sharon himself had tried in vain to talk Yitzhak Pass, the
father of the baby who was himself hit in the leg during the
shooting, into going back on this demand, and bury the baby.

Hebron is frequently a flashpoint for violence between the
400 Israeli settlers who live in armed and guarded enclaves
in the city centre among around 40,000 Palestinians.

COLD BLOODED MURDER

    

March 27, 2001 Hebron, Jerusalem, Israel
Baby murdered in Hebron attack.  Palestinian snipers shot
10 month old Shalhevet Tehiya Pass in the head as she was in
her mother Uriya's arms and moderately wounded her father
Yitzhak, 24, in the legs. The Pass and Zarbiv families of
Hebron have been involved in 3 other attacks over the
past 8 years

The IDF imposed a blockade on Hebron and a curfew on
Palestinians living in the Israeli-controlled section
of the city

Minutes after the attack, IDF tanks fired at a building on
the hill opposite which was the source of the sniper fire.
A statement issued by the family said they would refuse to
conduct the funeral until the army took over Abu Sneneh.
They received a rabbinical dispensation to delay the funeral.
Ariel Sharon placed the responsibility for the attack squarely
on the shoulders of Yassir Arafat, PLO.
"This is cold-blooded murder." 

For the last 7 months, we have been constantly  fired upon
from the hills transferred by Israel to Palestinian control,
David Wilder, spokesman of the Hebron Jewish community, said.
"We have constantly warned that if they are not retaken,
someone will be hurt. If Sharon does not fulfill his promises
and provide security, and the army does not take over the
hills and eradicate the terrorists, then we will retake them
ourselves, no matter what price we will have to pay."

Shortly after the attack, several Jewish residents blocked
the roads and stoned Arab dwellings.
