Verse  13  -  FROG DEMONS
The second part of this judgment reveals 3 unclean froglike
spirits (demons)that will come from the mouths of the devil, the
antichrist, and the false prophet. Because the unclean spirits
come "out of the mouths" of this trio they seem to represent the
sending forth of some means of communication to the world. As
demonic spirits they will perform genuine supernatural miracles
that deceive people into accepting a lie. It is possible these
demonstrations of the supernatural will be seen on TV around the
world. Through their deceptive miracles and through the tremendous
influence they exert on the minds of the rulers of the world, they
will convince them to join with the antichrist in the final battle
of the Tribulation, involving the whole world.

These miracles performed by these demon spirits are what Jesus
warned about in Matthew 24:24
there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, & shall show
great signs and wonders, in so much that, if it were possible,
they shall deceive the very elect.

Of course none of the elect will be present, only those who have
rejected God.


Verse  14
These demon spirits do not perform their miracles for the common
people. They concentrate on winning the kings and rulers of the
world.

Psalm 2:1-2
The heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing, and the
kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel
together, against the Lord, & against his anointed, meaning Jesus.


Verse  15
Jesus interjects a warning that is in line with his warnings given
in the gospels. To "come as a thief" means without announcement &
at an unexpected time. We must watch, be on guard, be alert.
Keepeth his garments means avoiding the stains of sin. Naked means
without outer garments, or proper covering, without the white
robes of Christ's righteousness. The sins peopletry to hide will
be apparent to all.





Revelation 16, Verses 16 - 17

This verse does not tell us who is responsible for the gathering
but it is more than likely the antichrist. These kings are most
likely the ones who will follow the antichrist to the battle.
The kings of the East have already been mentioned but the rest
are: The kings of the North are all the nations north of Israel
including Russia.

The Kings of the south are all the nations south of Israel
including the nations of Africa.

The kings of the west are all the nations west of Israel including
a western alliance and involving some of the European nations and
probably include America and other nations of the America's and
Canada.

Most people will ask the question with all the modern equipment
why would there be a need for the Euphrates river to be dried up.
The answer is no matter how sophisticated weapons are, it takes a
soldier to set foot on a land to conquer it. To preserve the Land.
And thinking that they will rule over all the world especially
Israel they will want to preserve it for its land and enormous
wealth.

The objective of satan and his demons will be to use the nations
under the direction of the antichrist to battle God and destroy
Jerusalem. This battle will end when Jesus returns in power and
glory and with a word defeats the antichrist and all his armies.


Verse  17
This is the seventh bowl judgment. It is poured out into the air
or atmosphere. The very air man breathes if affected, it is
poisoned. Then a loud voice coming out of the temple of heaven
announces "It is done." This signifies the end of the Tribulation,
the conclusion of the day of God's wrath on all the ungodly and
the evil armies of the world. They will all be wiped out by the
judgment of God.


Revelation 16, Verses 18-21

These next few verses describe what this plague brings on the
earth. With this last of the 7 bowls some voices, then a terrible
storm with thunder and lightning. The voices possibly repeat
God's judgment on the world system dominated by satan.

We also see a great earthquake that causes a world wide
catastrophe. There are 4 things that is emphasized about
this earthquake.

1. Great, 2. not since men were upon the earth
3. so mighty, 4. so great

We have had earthquakes in the past to hit certain areas but not
one to hit the whole earth at one time which is what this
one will be.


Verse  19
The great city of Jerusalem will be shaken by the earthquake and
divided into 3 parts. Some take the divided into three parts to
mean this:

1. part of the walls fall in one direction
2. a part in another direction, and
3. roofs fall down between them

It could also be a fulfillment of:

Zechariah 14:4
And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives,
which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives
shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the
west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the
mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward
the south.

Babylon the capital of the antichrist will collapse and broken
up into three parts also, completely destroyed.

Whole cities throughout the nations of the world will be
destroyed. The great world capital, Babylon, will be remembered
by God, and he will especially pour upon her the cup of
fierceness of His wrath.


Verse  20
Very Island will vanish and the mountains will not be found.
This seems to indicate a complete renovation of the earth, which
may be a fulfillment of 2 Peter 3:10 which says: but as the day
of the Lord, will come as a thief in the night, in which the
heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will
melt with fervent heat, both the earth and the works that are in
it will be burned up. This could very much be in preparation for
the coming millennial kingdom.


Verse  21
In addition to the great earthquake, great hail brings another
part of nature into use for judgment. These hailstones will weigh
close to a talent which is about 75 pounds each. But once again
there is no repentance, they just blaspheme God because of the
hail. It is hard to conceive of human beings so rebellious that
they will lift their faces in final defiance to God,
even in the face of such disaster.





Those who take the mark of the beast and worship his image will
break the first four of the Ten Commandments.

1. You shall have no other gods before me
2. you shall not make for yourselves an idol
3. you shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God
4. Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy

The judgments of God on mankind will appear primarily because
instead of worshiping him, they worship the antichrist. Instead
of worshiping God in spirit & truth through His Son Jesus Christ,
they fashion an image and fall down and worship it. Instead of
worshiping in speech and word, they will "Curse God." God has
said,
"I will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses my name."

Every individual who refuses to acknowledge the coming judgment
of God on the unregenerate should study this chapter of Scripture.

In light of what we have read in these chapters of Revelation
there is a scripture that comes to mind:

2 Peter 3:11
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner
of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness.

We as Christians have become careless in our daily conversation.
We sound more like the world than we do Christians.

Hebrews 12:14
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man
shall see the Lord. 

Each one of us needs to ask ourselves this question: Do I in my
conversation sound like the world? Is my conversation pleasing to
God, Have I used Grace as a license to sin in one way or the other.
It is only by the Grace of God that we will be able to not be a
part what will be happening in this chapter and many of the
previous chapters.
