I Dropped MY BAG at the CROSS

I was walking down life's road
underneath a heavy load;
sad and weary, trying to find
strength of body, peace of mind.

A Friend I met, Who said to me,
"send your heavy load to Me.
Each burden you have ever felt,
just put on My conveyor belt."

I took a bag, and threw it on,
and sure enough! That problem's gone!
I threw on another and another,
and noticed strength I did recover!

A bag fell off, an open sack,
I returned it to my back.
After all, it's mine, I thought,
forgetting all my Friend had taught.

My peace & strength began to fade.
Where is that new Friend I made?
"Just give it back to Me again,"
came the sweet voice of my Friend.

Jesus is my dearest Friend
On His advice I can depend.
I lay my problems at His Feet,
then we enjoy communion sweet.

The burdens I had always felt
went up on Heavens' conveyor belt.
Strength of body, peace of mind,
In my precious Friend I find.

 
I wrote this for a friend whose life was turmoil.

She was very troubled.  So I put humor in this.

But there is much TRUTH in humor

THIS IS THE JUDGMENT
that the Light has come into the world, 
and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, 
for their deeds were evil.  

GOD so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have
Eternal LIFE. For God did not send his Son into the world
to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

He who believes in Him is not judged;
he who does not believe has been judged already, 
because he has not believed in the name of the only
