I AM the CANDLE
I am the candle & He is the Flame,
I will go forth in Jesus' Name;
In joy or sorrow, in peace or pain,
I am the candle & He is the Flame.
Sometimes I'm high, & sometimes I'm low,
But Jesus is shining wherever I go.
One thing I'm sure of, my Lord loves me so,
And He keeps shining through me here below.
I am the candle and He is the Light,
I shall go forth into other' dark night,
I shall go out and bring others this sight,
For I am the candle and Jesus the Light.
Candles are white or yellow or red,
Sometimes they're burning & sometimes they're dead.
I shall remember all Jesus has said; and
He'll light my candle, for I'm His beloved.
I wrote this song for a pastor's weekend retreat.
The topic was 'Jesus is the Light'
THIS IS THE JUDGMENT
that the Light has come into the world,
and men loved the darkness rather than the Light,
for their deeds were evil.
GOD so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have
Eternal LIFE. For God did not send his Son into the world
to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
He who believes in Him is not judged;
he who does not believe has been judged already,
because he has not believed in the name of the only
begotten Son of God. John 3:16-19
