Both Syria and Hamas are intractable, signaling their readiness for war. All her enemies are re-stocked, re-loaded, re-newed and re-deviled. Israel doing nothing is too tempting to Muslims. Israel will no longer hesitate to respond to missiles from Gaza. Hamas has missiles capable of reaching north of Ashkelon. Hamas and the Lebanese Hizballah have upgraded their arsenals. Israel has opened bomb shelters and is bracing for the worst. Israel's do-nothing military policy will change only if Hamas kills too many civilians. Otherwise, the IDF will abide by rules dictated by her enemies. In the first 18 days of December, when the hudna was still in force, Palestinian terrorists slammed 83 missiles and 52 mortar shells from Gaza into Israeli civilian locations.
