Day dreaming walking in the sea breeze
Reminiscing life on the sand as I played each scene
Then I noticed walking along side me
Was Jesus Christ; woe is me

I humbly asked where did you come from?
He said I've been here all along
I said how could, how could, how could that be?
He turned and he looked and said "son what do you mean?"

I said, looking back now at the sands of time
One can clearly see the one print is mine
In the times of life I'm not doing fine
Where did you go? Where did you go?

With a tear in His eye He said, "son your looking cold
I've offered before, but why don't you take my robe?"
And as we walk I'll tell you what I've done
Then you'll see a new light when you look at those prints of one

He said, looking back now at those sands of time
be assured those prints you see are mine
In the times of life you're not doing fine
They carried you, I carried you

I turned back to look, and again I didn't see Him
But I was sure not to make the same mistake again
And I'm no longer, no longer cold
Still on me, still on me  is his robe

Now when we're looking back now at our sands of time
Be assured those prints aren't yours or mine

ONE NIGHT I HAD a DREAM





I dreamed I was walking along the beach with God, and across the sky
flashed scenes from my life.  For each scene I noticed two sets of 
footprints in the sand.  One belonging to God, and the other to me.

When the last scene of my life flashed before me, I look back at the
footprints in the sand.  I noticed that many times along the path of
my life, there was only one set of footprints.  I also noticed that
it happened at the very lowest and saddest time in my life. This 
really bothered me and I questioned God about it.  

God, You said that once I decided to follow You, You would walk 
with me all the way.  But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints.
I do not understand why, in times when I needed You most, 
You should leave me alone.

Then GOD replied

My precious child, 
I love you and would never, never leave you wondering during your 
time of trial and suffering.  When you saw only one set of 
footprints in the sand, it was then that I carried you.�
