Nov 27 20,000 Muslims Attack a Church in Cairo. 1, 000 Christians were
trapped inside the Coptic Orthodox Church in Cairo, after over 20,000 Muslims
attacked them with stones and butane gas cylinders. The situation is extremely dangerous.
The Muslim mob that attacked the church blocked both sides of the street and
encircled the church building, broke its doors and demolished its entire first floor.
The mob were chanting Jihad verses and "We sacrifice our blood and souls,

Is this a 21st century plague? Bubonic plague, the Black Death was
one of the deadliest pandemics in human history.
A new plague which jumps from rats to humans has been discovered by scientists.
Fears are growing in Europe that increasing numbers of brown rats are carrying a
strain of bacteria that can cause serious illness in humans from heart disease to
infection of the spleen and nervous system.
The new strain of bacteria called Bartonella rochalimae is spread between rats
by fleas. It was first discovered in an American woman with an enlarged spleen who
had recently travelled to Peru. There is concern that it could be a new bug.

Russia-Venezuela nuclear accord Nov 27 Russia and Venezuela have signed an agreement to promote the
development of nuclear energy for civilian use. The agreement was signed during a
visit by Russian President Medvedev to Caracas. Russia will help Venezuela
build a nuclear energy plant. Joint gas projects were also approved.
Military co-operation is also high on the agenda. Russian and Venezuelan warships
are scheduled to hold joint military exercises later this week. The Russian vessels,
including the flagship missile cruiser Peter the Great and two support vessels, are
off La Guaira, near Caracas. The destroyer Admiral Chabanenko docked while
